People aren't super afraid of him anymore and the kids play in his hair. He was a given a contract that says he is somewhat free to roam around as long as he follows the conditions of the contract.

What surprised me was how nice he is to the people who are holding him captive. I'm surprised he hasn't just run away or threatened the emperor to release him.

I read well until 7:50 when my friends started arriving and I got distracted by them.
